Over the weekend, I decided to pamper myself a little.

Nothing dramatic,  just fixing my hair, doing my nails, giving myself a moment to feel good, feel beautiful, feel like me again.

I’m not saying I’m not beautiful, but sometimes we forget who we are as women because of the weight we carry. The responsibilities. The expectations. The endless doing.

For years, I’ve been building a business with my husband before my daughter came, and it was already a full plate. When she arrived… the responsibilities multiplied in the most beautiful, overwhelming way.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my little girl deeply. I love what she brings into my life. But let’s be honest: we often put ourselves last without even realising it.

I go to the mall “for myself,” and somehow I return with bags for my daughter, the house, groceries… before I remember that I needed a new pair of slippers or sleepwear.

That’s the reality for many of us.

And if you’re reading this, I want to acknowledge the weight you carry quietly, consistently, every single day.

But here’s the message sitting on my heart:

You’re not just a wife.

You’re not just a mother.

You’re your own person.

Before the titles and responsibilities, there was you, the woman with dreams, ambition, softness, strength, and a vision for her life.

When you got married, you didn’t give away your identity. You came in as your full 100%. Your spouse came in as 100%.

Two whole people, not halves trying to complete each other.

And that means you still owe it to yourself to become the woman you once dreamed of.

Don’t shrink her.

Don’t postpone her.

Don’t bury her under responsibility.

You’re a powerhouse, not because you do everything, but because you remember who you are while doing everything.

And when you get tired (because you will), please don’t keep it in.

Step out.

Breathe.

Have fun.

Do something that makes you feel alive again.

You deserve softness.

You deserve rest.

You deserve joy.

You deserve a moment that reminds you you’re still you.

One soft reset at a time.
